This 'Little' Lady

Hi there!

Like everyone that grows up in Ohio, I thought there was more to see in the world than corn fields and my beloved dairy cows. So, although the homesickness was a constant knot in my chest that first semester, I went to college two hours south in the "big city" (i.e. Columbus)  at THE Ohio State University (yes, "O-H" "I-O" is a thing). Fast-forward to Spring 2020 and we're all getting our first glimpse of COVID-19: canceled courses, online nursing clinicals, and virtual graduation.

Things started looking up as I finally got to marry my high school sweetheart (officially becoming a "Little" in June 2020). No wild reception or long guest list, just us, our family and beautiful weather for a backyard barbeque. It was then that the adventure truly began as we packed our bags and drove from Ohio to California amidst a pandemic that made my first nursing job a slightly more difficult than normal transition. But in the year 2020 chaos was expected, change was inevitable, and things were always looking up.

So although this is probably the lamest blog you've ever seen, I'm grateful for the opportunity to share pieces of my life with you.

Thanks for reading, stay well!

Warmly,

Alyssa Little
